Global Entrepreneurial Talent Management 4 is an international, interdisciplinary research project asking how the entrepreneurial talent of individuals can be used to tackle hard problems — and what that means for physical and mental health in a digital workplace.

We are a community of educators and researchers from 18 universities and industry bodies across Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. We work with young entrepreneurial people, higher education institutions, employers and communities to find out how entrepreneurial talent can be used to tackle challenging problems and take up the opportunities that disruption creates.
Our focus is physical and mental health in the digital workplace. Through staff exchanges, our researchers explore how talent management can support sustainable careers in digitally-mediated work, and how employers can respond to both disruption and the opportunities it opens up.

Each stakeholder stream examines the needs and expectations of a different group. The transversal streams hold the project together — method, integration and translation.

Research approach
GETM4's research approach is multidimensional in a specific sense: every question we ask has to travel. Four crossings shape how the work is designed, who takes part, and what counts as a result.
Eighteen institutions in nine countries across four continents, with knowledge moving in all directions rather than from north to south.
Universities, industry bodies and social enterprises working the same questions, so findings land in practice as well as in print.
Students, early-career researchers and professors as co-researchers — including young people as designers of the research, not only its subjects.
Management, law, information systems, computer science, political science, education, sociology, psychology and economics, on shared problems.
Five days at Northumbria University Newcastle: a keynote on student talent management, workshops on digital ethics and design futures, a design sprint at Newcastle Racecourse, and a cultural tour of Lindisfarne and Bamburgh.
Hosted by Chonnam National University and Kyungpook National University, the Korean sandpit combined research sessions with a programme of cultural immersion.
GETM4 is the first Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges project under Horizon Europe to launch in North Macedonia — announced at an event hosted by the Slovenian-Macedonian Business Club.
