Objectives
Evaluation of teaching has historically looked either at one activity or at a whole curriculum, and almost always from the perspective of students or teachers alone. This stream develops a methodology that evaluates individual pedagogic activities from the perspective of young student entrepreneurs, teachers, industry and higher education management together.
The aim is to remodel how universities and industry collaborate, so that explicit knowledge gained in universities and implicit knowledge used in professional practice can move in both directions.
What we will produce
- Evaluations of current innovation in higher education, across three different types of innovation, written to inform curriculum development.
- Multidisciplinary case studies on design thinking and design science.
- A replicable methodology for co-creative generative research in higher education.
How to contribute
This stream runs a series of design-led, multidisciplinary innovation projects that engage students as co-researchers, mapping barriers to learning and gaps in the curriculum from each stakeholder's perspective — and testing the best pedagogic response.
